REPORT ON JUCHE ACTIVITIES IN THE YEAR 2009 (JUCHE 98)

1.  JUCHE STUDY GROUPS
Juche activities in the year Juche 98 (2009) were carried successfully in three regions of Tanzania. Juche activities were conducted in these regions: Coast, Morogoro and Dar es Salaam.  Many Juche branches were not active because of communication, financial, infrastructure problems.  The inactive Juche branches are not listed in the year study 2009 (Juche 98).

2. THE ANNUAL PROGRAMME FOR THE YEAR JUCHE 98 (2009)

2.1 The annual activities
These were coordinated by The National Coordination Committee (N.C.C) of the study groups of the Juche Idea and Self-Reliance in Tanzania. The NCC is based in Dar es Salaam. Dr. Francis Lyimo is the Chairman of NCC; Mr. John Maina – Vice Chairman; Mr. Rwehabura Kente – Secretary General; Mr. Henry Chonya – Deputy Secretary General, NCC members and members are

2.2 Meetings and Lectures
The annual programme for the year 2009 (Juche 98) comprised of meetings, seminars and lectures spread throughout the year. These meetings, seminars and lectures commemorated special anniversaries and events of great importance to the Juche study groups. Important documents from DPR Korea were received from the DPR Korea Embassy in Dar es Salaam before it was closed in January 2008.

3. MESSAGES TO THE GREAT LEADER GENERAL KIM JONG IL

The NCC of Juche Study Groups and Tanzania – DPR Korea Friendship
Association sent messages of congratulations to the Great Leader Kim Jong IL in the New Year, on his birthday and other important events of his revolutionary activities in DPR Korea.


5. STUDY MATERIALS

In the past we received study materials from Pyongyang through the DPR Korea Embassy in Dar es Salaam before it was closed in January 2008. The DPR Embassy in South African will send study materials. We have been receiving Newsletters and the Journals of Study of Juche Idea from Secretariat of the International Institute of the Juche Idea. These publications have been very useful and we are very grateful for the Juche to the closure of DPR Korea Embassy in Dar es Salaam in January, 2008 we have been missing support and reading materials.  We need more contact and communication and supplies for the DPR. Korea Embassy in South Africa.  We will be sending messages through the DPR Korea Embassy in South Africa.
